Our Philosophy

Horses Come First

Our horses are our partners, teachers, and teammates. Their well-being is at the center of every decision we make. From thoughtful scheduling to individualized care, we believe in teaching our riders to respect and value the animals who make this journey possible.

Safety is Essential

Every ride, every lesson, every interaction at the barn begins with safety. We hold ourselves and our riders to the highest standards, making sure that each student develops the knowledge and skills to be confident, capable, and secure both in and out of the saddle.

Education for a Lifetime

Twin Lakes is more than a riding school—it’s a place to learn horsemanship, responsibility, and perseverance. Whether a rider’s goal is to compete, to ride for joy, or to deepen their understanding of horses, we are committed to fostering growth at every step.

We believe riding is about much more than ribbons and results. It’s about the friendships formed in the barn aisle, the lessons learned from both challenges and triumphs, and the confidence that carries into every aspect of life.

Twin Lakes Farm has been proudly serving Westchester and the surrounding community for decades. It is our privilege to carry forward a tradition of excellence in equestrian education, and we are deeply grateful for the families and riders who make up our community.

We invite you to come see why Twin Lakes is known as the place, “Where Westchester Learns to Ride!

At Twin Lakes Farm, everything begins with the horse.

From the very first lesson to the most advanced levels of competition, our philosophy has remained the same: to create a safe, positive, and educational environment where riders of all ages can grow—not only as equestrians, but as individuals.

As the owners of Twin Lakes Farm, we’ve built this program on three guiding principles:
