Twin Lakes North offers a comprehensive Riding Academy program for riders of all ages and levels. Lessons focus on hunt-seat equitation and a strong horsemanship foundation. Lessons run year-round, Monday through Sunday. New riders begin with an evaluation to ensure safe placement.
Junior Riding Lessons
Our Junior Riding Academy is designed for riders ages 6–18, from their very first ride through advanced equitation. Lessons emphasize safety, confidence, and building a strong horsemanship foundation.

Private Lessons (30 min) – Personalized instruction to develop fundamentals or address specific goals for new riders to our program to prepare them for our group lessons.

Group Lessons (1 hr) – Small groups by level, encouraging teamwork and progression. Our academy structures riders in group lessons to ensure the social and psychological benefits of riding with peers, including confidence-building, teamwork, and friendship.

Progression Levels – From Beginner I through Advanced II, riders advance within a structured curriculum.
Barn Badge Program
Education goes beyond the saddle. Our Horsemanship Program provides structured, level-based learning inspired by the USHJA Horsemanship Quiz Challenge.

Weekly classes combine classroom learning, hands-on horse care, and mounted sessions.

Topics range from stable management and equine anatomy to nutrition, conformation, and riding theory.

Summer Camp
At Twin Lakes Farm, our camp programs bring riders of all ages closer to horses while building confidence, responsibility, and lifelong friendships. Each season offers unique opportunities to learn, ride, and grow in a supportive, welcoming environment.

Summer Camp - Full day of riding, horsemanship and fun! From equitation and mounted games to barn crafts and team challenges, each week is designed to give riders confidence in the saddle and knowledge in the barn.

Winter Camp - Winter break is the perfect time to cozy up in the barn and stay connected with horses. Our winter camp focuses on strengthening equitation skills, practicing horsemanship, and enjoying fun seasonal activities.

Spring Camp - Campers brush off the winter dust with lessons that refresh and advance their riding skills, while horsemanship sessions prepare them for a season of growth. Activities often include riding goals workshops, barn badge challenges, and spring-themed projects to welcome the season.
Academy Horse Shows
Our Academy Horse Show Series is designed to give riders of all levels the opportunity to showcase their skills in a fun, supportive, and educational environment. These shows are the perfect next step for riders looking to set goals, gain confidence in the show ring, and celebrate their progress with friends and family. Whether it’s a rider’s very first show or another step on the path toward recognized competition, our Academy Horse Shows provide an exciting and rewarding experience—one that builds confidence, horsemanship, and a true love for the sport.

Leasing
For riders ready to deepen their partnership with a horse, Leasing at Twin Lakes North provides an affordable step between lessons and ownership.

Weekly leasing options allow riders to spend additional time with their assigned horse, developing consistency and partnership through 5 rides a week.

Full-leasing allow riders to ride their lease horse through our training program at our South campus, with multiple lease horses available.

Leasing includes guidance from instructors to ensure safe, positive experiences.
Amateur Riding Lessons
Our Adult Riding Program offers a supportive and fun environment for riders 18+ of all levels. Whether you’re returning to the saddle or learning for the first time, our instructors meet you where you are.

Interscholastic Equestrian Assoc.
The Twin Lakes Farm IEA Team gives middle school and high school riders the chance to experience the excitement of team competition while riding at a nationally recognized level. As members of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association, our riders compete in hunt seat equitation classes against other teams across the region—without the need to own a horse.
